4. Data collection on our website

Cookies

Our website uses ‘cookies’. Cookies do not damage your computer and do not contain viruses. They help in making the website more user-friendly, more effective and safer. Cookies are small text files that are stored on your computer and saved by your browser.
Most cookies used by us are the kind that are referred to as ‘session cookies’. Session cookies are automatically erased at the end of your visit. Other cookies are stored on your terminal until you delete them. These cookies enable us to recognise your browser on your next visit.
You can set your browser so that you are informed about the setting of cookies and only allow cookies in individual cases; accept cookies for certain cases; or ensure that cookies are generally excluded, or that the automatic erasure of cookies is activated when the browser is closed. If cookies are deactivated, the functionality of the website may be limited.
Cookies which are required to carry out communication processes or for the availability of certain functions required by you (e.g. shopping basket function) will be stored in accordance with Article 6 para. 1(f) of the federal General Data Protection Regulation. The website operator has a legitimate interest in storing cookies in order to be able to provide technically error-free and optimised services. If other cookies (e.g. cookies for analysing browsing behaviour) are stored, these will be dealt with separately in this privacy policy.

Server log files

The provider of the web pages collects and saves information automatically in ‘server log files’, which are automatically transferred to us by your browser. These are:

  • type and version of browser
  • operating system used
  • referrer URL
  • host name of the accessing computer
  • time of server enquiry
  • IP addres

For the evaluation of this data, we use the 'Webalizer', a web-analysis software tool for the statistical evaluation of the incidences of users accessing the website. Based on the data on the server log files, the Webalizer creates summaries of, for example, the number of ‘hits’, file/page requests, visits, etc.
This data will not be merged with other data sources.
The legal basis for the data processing is Article 6 para.1(f) GDPR, which permits the processing of data for the fulfilment of a contract or for pre-contractual arrangements.

Contact form, notifying of an event

If you use the contact form to submit an enquiry or data to us, your information from the form, together with the contact data given in the form, will be saved by us for the purpose of processing the enquiry and in case of any follow-up questions. We will not share this data with third parties without your consent.
The data entered in the contact form will be processed exclusively on the basis of your consent (Article 6 para.1(a) GDPR). You may withdraw your consent at any time. To do this, an informal notice via email to us is sufficient. The lawfulness of the data processed up to the withdrawal of consent remains unaffected.
The data you provide on the contact form will remain with us until you request us to delete it, withdraw your consent to its storage, or until the purpose of the data storage no longer exists (e.g. after your request has been dealt with). Mandatory statutory provisions - especially those related to retention periods - shall remain unaffected.
